Success Stories

IBIZA, SPAIN

SCENARIO

The Ibiza water transport network consists of four main branches that are supplied from three main production centers. These four branches interwine in the shape of a cross that meet in a central node (Sa Llavanera) where, given the configuration of the system, any point of the network can be supplied from any reservoir, reversing the flow if necessary.

Taking into consideration the different available technologies, the technical team opted for the use of the Nautilus System, since it allowed them to review, in a single inspection, the total lengh of the branch and determine the exact cause of the problem.

RESULTS

The Nautilus System detected a total of three incidents. Once the leaks were repaired, the flow rates were measured, and the pressure maintenance checked; confirming the recovery of performance levels.

With the detection and repair of the detected leaks, a network performance of 97.69% was achieved and a flow of 10-14 m³/hour was saved, allowing savings of up to 12,600 cubic meters per year.

“Once we have worked with the Nautilus System, we understand that it should be used as both a corrective and preventive tool in our transport networks on a regular basis.”
